Individuals at ECOG Institutions Interested in Joining ECOG

The following procedures apply to staff members, employed at active ECOG member institutions and affiliates, who are interested in joining ECOG. If you are not sure whether your institution is an active ECOG member institution, check our List of ECOG institutions by State.
If your institution is not an active ECOG member institution or affiliate, click here for information.

  1. All staff directly involved in the conduct of ECOG trials, such as physicians, nurses, CRAs, and pharmacists must first register with the Pharmaceutical Management Branch, Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (PMB, CTEP) at https://iapps-ctep.nci.nih.gov/ctepar/main.html. After obtaining Investigator/Associate Identification Numbers, each staff member completes and submits the Roster Update Form to ECOG. (form in Microsoft Word format)
  2. In addition to what's listed in #1, all physicians intending to enter patients onto ECOG trials must:
    1. Provide documentation of human research subjects protection training. This can be either a training program approved by the local institution or NCI's program. The NCI program is available at
http://cme.cancer.gov/clinicaltrials/learning/humanparticipant-protections.asp (on the NCI web site)
    2. Provide a letter of support from the institution's ECOG Principal or Senior Investigator.

All forms may be faxed or mailed to the following address:
